High School Oregon Update

Our trip started a little slow, the guys finally got checked into their rooms around 2:30 am on Tuesday morning and later had a 1:20 start time. We faced a team from the Washington area which we managed to beat with fatigued legs and tired bodies, somehow the guys were able to block it out and come away with 68-63 win. There were many colleges in attendance which may have motivated us to push through the the exhaustion which we were experiencing, win and advance to see another day that’s the battle cry.

Game 2 would prove just as difficult as the first, with us being the smallest team in the tournament we were facing Team Total Package from Seattle who not only were bigger, they seemed to be better than us on this day. With jump shots not falling we seemed hesitant to engaged in the battle in the paint which would have been the better option. We finally figured things out and started to attack their big bodies. To little to late the final score bad guys 64, good guys who didn’t execute 50.

Now the battle continues to keep playing, we’ll keep going and hopefully the college coaches will continue to follow us. Our next battle won’t be easy, but we must win to get back to the main facility.
