March 4, 2009 by admin
Several Pressure players attend Bellarmine-Jefferson High School in Burbank Ca.
The Guards had good season racking up 16 wins and advancing to the 2nd round of the CIF Playoffs.
Freshman Andre Frazier made the Varsity squad and started half of the games.
When Pressure is in the house, Defense, is the name of the game and Andre’s shot blocking ability made opposing players think twice about driving the lane.
Many a defender also got a first hand look at his “sweet” hook shot.

Andre lead the team in blocks and was named to the All League 2nd Team along with sophomore Micah Shirley who led the team in scoring. Micah was also named 1st Team All League and All Area Player in Football.
Other Pressure alum on the team were junior Emery Else and senior Elliot Dennis who both played well and anchored the defense.
Freshman Elijah Reed also played in 6 varsity games but spent the majority of the season on JV.
As the starting point guard, Elijah lead the JV Guards to 16 win season. They finished second in their league just 2 points away from a league championship.

Elijah was named MVP for the 2009 season and was a defensive presence on the court leading the team in steals, rebounds and assists.
