Championship At Pasadena City College…

Pressure’s 12u team got off to a slow start against a young and inexperienced Baller team. Missing easy opportunities the game remained fairly close throughout the first half.
Dwight Murry opened the second half with some easy shots at the rim and Tiyon Martin finally got it going from the outside then the defense kicked in which proved to be to much for their opponent.
Game 2 would have former Pressure player Journey Shank going against his old buddies, with Shank playing a balanced game and getting help from his Panther teammates they were able to walk away with an easy victory.
The winner of game 3 would face that Panther team again, but in order for that to happen Pressure would face another former player, with parents eagerly awaiting this match up. With a storyline made for must see TV, Team I Can finally faced off agaianst Team Pressure.
I Can built an early lead but Pressure stayed close trailing at half time by five. With the Pressure gang applying defense which the program is built on seemed to finally take it’s toll on it’s players.
When it was all over Team I Can, couldn’t and didn’t, Pressure wins 51-46.
Here we go again, getting off to another slow start the Panthers built a 20 point lead that they would never relinquish. Pressure finally woke up the second half and started to fight back getting it down within 11 points, but with rule being you must get within 10 after going down by 20 points proved to be to big of a hole.

PRESSURE 14U
The older guys are showing signs of improvement according to coach Marshall, when their at full strength he feels they can compete with the better teams and win their share of games. Winning their first 2 games on Saturday the guys could smell a championship in the distance. In the way would be a BTI team with hired guns from all over. The tip off was originally set for 7:00pm but a late change to 6pm had players scrambling to get there. Not having all of it’s players at tip off would put Pressure in an early hole.
By halftime Pressure had all the momentum ripping into the lead,BTI 29-28 lead over Pressure.
All for naught, with a mix up in the scheduling BTI had already been knocked out of tournament play with an earlier loss. So with that being said Desert Storm out off Palm Springs was sitting on the sidelines waiting. Pressure easily handled the Storm and was now heading for the championship.
With a 9pm tip off and 3 games back to back to back proved to be to much for the guys to overcome, the host Warriors walked away with the big prize.
