Pressure Meets The Haitians!
May 7, 2010 by admin
TEXAS - During our recent trip to Frisco, Texas for the Next Level Basketball tournament, we all had an opportunity to meet players from the Haitian National Soccer Team.
Sadly, after speaking with a few of the team representatives, we learned that a few of the players as well as coaches died durning the massive earthquake on January 12, 2010. We also learned, the only reason that the coaches, players and representatives we met were still alive was that they were outside on the practice field when the quake hit and not inside the training facilities.
As an organization, we would like to send our heart felt condolences and prayers out to all of our brothers and sisters in Haiti.
Coach James

SAD STORY BUT SOMETIMES MEETING REAL PEOPLE WHO HAVE DEALT WITH DREADFUL SITUATIONS HELPS US PUT A HUMAN FACE ON THE DISASTER TO HELP US UNDERSTAND THAT REAL PEOPLE JUST LIKE US WERE AND ARE AFFECTED BY WHAT SOMETIMES SEEM LIKE EVENTS A WORLD AWAY! I THINK IT WOULD BE AMAZING TO SHOW SUPPORT FOR THESE FELLOW DEDICATED ATHLETES BY MAKING A DONATION IN THEIR HONOR TO A CHARITY HELPING TO REBUILD AND IMPROVE CONDITIONS IN HAITI. MAYBE OUR PRESSURE TEAMS CAN ORGANIZE A SMALL FUNDRAISER TO DO OUR PART! ANY IDEAS?
ALL I KNOW IS IF OUR BOYS’ LITTLE PARKS AND REC TEAM OF COULD RAISE $250.00 FOR UNICEF IN 3HRS IMAGINE WHAT A LARGE, MULTI AGED,AND MULTI TALENTED GROUP LIKE PRESSURE COULD ACCOMPLISH.!……..EVERY EFFORT COUNTS, EVERY LITTLE BIT HELPS …,
