Word From The Coach!

Progression… competition breeds success and we’ve had short term success so far. Last time out our high school blue team competed from start to end which placed us in the championship game against a very talented Rock Solid team who played hard to the end.

When it came down to winning our guys showed everyone when we defend we have an opportunity to win, which is what we did. We got outstanding defensive play from our guards which is the key to the success of our team.

Micah showed us what we already knew, he can dominate a game when he focuses in and decides he wants to play at a collegiate level. He walked away with MVP honors with Teran Hart right on his heels for that same award.

Our high school white team played equally as well capturing a championship in their divisions. Led by newcomer Darren and point guard Danny who guided us the entire weekend and showed everyone what it’s like to have a point guard who gaining an understanding of what is required of him. Darren being new to the program is making a name for himself by showing his wiliness to learn.

Girls, girl’s, girl’s, they played harder than they ever thought they were capable of.

There wasn’t one outstanding player, but an entire team of girl’s who finally decided to leave everything they had on the floor. Hopefully being inspired by the news of their coach getting a invite to training camp with the Sparks motivated them to dream a dream that maybe one day it could be them. Continue to work hard girls, and success will follow.
